Wes Anderson was recently given a “Special Filmmaking Achievement Award” by the National Board Of Review for “The Fantastic Mr. Fox” and in order to say thanks, he created a cute one-and-half-minute stop-motion animated short that screened for members at the ceremony. The brief piece finds Anderson in his Weasel character from the film, accepting the award and thanking everyone involved. Anderson himself did come on stage afterwards to accept the award, but we have to say, this is a pretty charming and cute little short and will probably be better than every acceptance speech at this year’s Oscars.
