By now you’ve seen Alfonso Cuarón‘s “Gravity“—perhaps even two or three times—and as it heads toward Oscar night with 10 nominations, and with some serious momentum behind it, here’s an opportunity to go behind the scenes of the much-talked-about thriller.
Visual effects house Framestore has unveiled a pretty nifty, 2 1/2-minute “show and tell” reel that highlights the extensive digital work they did to help Cuarón’s film achieve the sweaty, tension-filled realism that we saw on the big screen. And for even more background, the director and star Sandra Bullock recently stopped by “Charlie Rose” for a 20-minute talk about the production. The actress shares her initial reluctance to take on the role, the trickiness of the highly technical filmmaking, her character, the themes and much, more more alongside the filmmaker.
