‘The Sensitive Kind’: Ethan Hawke To Star In Sterlin Harjo’s New FX Drama Series

While there were many who were shocked and upset that “Reservation Dogs” ended its run after only three seasons, it appears FX isn’t done with the show’s co-creator, Sterlin Harjo. In fact, the network is already gearing up for production on a pilot for his next show, “The Sensitive Kind.”

According to Deadline, FX has ordered a pilot for Sterlin Harjo’s new series, “The Sensitive Kind,” starring none other than Ethan Hawke. Not a whole lot is known about the series other than its being described as a “Tulsa noir” about a man who knows too much. Hawke and Harjo previously worked together on the aforementioned “Reservation Dogs,” where the actor showed up in a pivotal episode in the final season. 

Again, this is bittersweet news, as many would have loved to see “Reservation Dogs” continue for longer, but it’s great that FX is keeping Harjo around. He’s one of the best creators working in TV right now, so anything new from him is worthy of checking out. Combine that with the fact that the new series stars Ethan Hawke, and suddenly, it sure does sound as if FX might have a pretty great show on its hands.

Hawke is no stranger to TV work. I mean, we all know him from his “Batwheels” role, right? Kidding aside, he’s starred in a number of notable TV series in recent years, including “The Good Lord Bird” and “Moon Knight.”

Of course, a pilot order is not a guarantee that a show is going to get a season order. That said, it’s a good sign and now it’s in the hands of Harjo and Hawke to turn in something amazing. We’re definitely hoping that it all works out and we can get a new Sterlin Harjo series sooner rather than later.
