According to Deadline, Peter Dinklage is set to join the cast of “Roofman,” the new drama from filmmaker Derek Cianfrance. The film tells the unbelievable true story of Jeffrey Manchester, an inmate on the run. Except, instead of continuing to run and evade the police, Manchester decides to hold up in a toy store, where he lives undetected for weeks. And while there, he begins to develop some feelings for one of the people who works at the store. It’s unclear what role Dinklage plays in the film.

Dinklage has been in high profile film and TV projects for years now. Most recently, he starred in the Max Barbakow comedy film, “Brothers.” Before that, he’s shown up in films such as “The Thicket,” “The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes,” “The Toxic Avenger,” and “She Came to Me.”

Cianfrance is probably best known for his film work with projects such as “Blue Valentine,” “The Place Beyond the Pines,” and “The Light Between Oceans.”

It’s still unclear when filming is set to begin for “Roofman.” However, if casting is happening now, we have to assume production isn’t too far behind. And who knows, perhaps we’ll have a 2025 release date for the film.
