We all know that Chris Hemsworth is a handsome, charming man. So, it makes complete sense that Disney would want to hire him to be Prince Charming. And that’s exactly what has happened.
According to Deadline, Chris Hemsworth is set to star in Paul King’s upcoming film, “Prince Charming.” Not much is known about the project at this time. The character of Prince Charming is actually from “Cinderella,” but the report claims this film isn’t linked to that tale at all. So, it’s unclear what the plot of the film might actually be. But hey, Hemsworth does look the part.
Hemsworth is probably best known for his various appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, over the years, he has starred in a number of potential franchise films. In recent years, we’ve seen him show up in franchise films such as “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga,” “Extraction” (and its sequel), “Men in Black: International,” “Transformers One,” and “Ghostbusters.” Of all the MCU actors, he’s the one that links himself to the most other franchises, for sure.
King is known as the acclaimed filmmaker behind the first two ‘Paddington’ films. His most recent film project was the box office hit, “Wonka.” For “Prince Charming,” Simon Farnaby and Jon Croker are co-writing along with King.
It’s unclear when production might begin on “Prince Charming.” The film is still in active development, so maybe it’ll be ready to go in front of cameras by 2025. We’ll just have to wait and see.
