At this point, we’re not holding out judgement on any of these kinds of films, hell, these are :30 second Super Bowl spots. The idea is definitely: have a beer, lean back and enjoy yourself, right? But, gotta say, the trailer for Kenneth Branagh‘s “Thor” is definitely less impressive than “Captain America,” “Battle: Los Angeles” and hell, even “Transformers 3.”
Starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins, Rene Russo, Stellan Skarsgard, Jaimie Alexander, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Josh Dallas, Tadanobu Asano, Idris Elba, Clark Gregg, and Colm Feore, “Thor” hits theaters on May 6th, 2011. Maybe we’re not blown away because the footage doesn’t seem that new. Or maybe it’s just because it looks like an odd melange of sci-fi, Shakespearian deity mumbo jumbo and earthbound love stories.
