Got a Tip?

Conan O’Brien, Marc Maron, And Seth Meyers Pay Tribute To Garry Shandling

The Larry Sanders ShowYesterday afternoon, the shocking and sad news arrived that Garry Shandling had passed away at the age of 66. A stand-up comedy legend and the brain behind two of the most influential shows ever with "It’s Garry Shandling’s Show" and "The Larry Sanders Show," almost everyone who tells jokes for a living owes a debt to Shandling.

Last night, both Conan O’Brien and Seth Meyers took a moment during their opening monologues to pay tribute to Shandling, with O’Brien in particular sharing how the late comedian lent his support to him during the absurd "The Tonight Show" fiasco. Meanwhile, Marc Maron also shared remembrance of Shandling, along with his interview with him from 2011.

Check it all out below, along with his podcast appearance on "You Made It Weird," a classic scene from "Freaks and Geeks" (a show conceived by two huge Shandling fans in Judd Apatow — who worked on ‘Larry Sanders’ — and Paul Feig). Meanwhile, HBO will be bringing "The Larry Sanders Show" back to the small screen in a deal struck before Shandling’s death.
