I don\’t know Nolan personally and I\’m not saying my reading of him is any more informed than yours, but to me the guy seems more interested in making top-quality films (ergo, not being part of mediocre films) than he is in jealously preventing other people from making films that could compete with his.

Admittedly, though, I have no explanation for why he would hire Zack Snyder to do Superman.

Synder is technically capable enough — with the right script — to make a film that\’s enjoyable and successful at the box office. But no way does he have the artistic chops to do anything more than that.

Nolan knows his legacy and Hollywood standing will be safe. If David Fincher or, say, Tony Gilroy had been hired, there\’s a good chance Superman would end up being as good as Batman…which is not good for Nolan.

I want Superman to kick the crap out of all the superheroes. Enough is enough. They should learn to respect the KING OF ALL SUPERHEROES again. Zack, you rock man. 🙂
