Especially within the last decade or so. It\’s alienated far too many fans who read their comics and if this is any indication, it will divide those who enjoy what they\’re putting out on the big and small screens as well. While, realistically, you can\’t expect it all to overlap (much in the same way you don\’t see Marvel scrambling to put Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in its own film or try another go at Daredevil/etc. on the big screen) the acknowledgment that all these things are in separate universes feels like a cop-out. Even the forthcoming Flash/Supergirl crossover episode feels like it.
