Gerard Butler is a far better actor. He's done rom com to Shakespeare . Had great movies from the gentle Dear Frankie to the awesome 300. Machine Gun Preacher although it had shocking distribution was a truly Oscar worthy
Movie.

Yeah, Butler. 1. He can act. 2. He's age appropriate 3. I can see him taking orders from Angela Bassett more than I can see Tatum-tot taking orders from Maggie Gyllenhaal. 4. This is really more about Antoine Fuqua vs Roland Emmerich. Both of them speak loudly and carry a big sledgehammer. We'll see.

Fuck the haters – this movie sounds awesome. I can't tell how much I miss these Die Hard, Air Force One, Executive Decision-type action movies. This sounds like '90s-esque fun. Plus, I don't care what anyone says – I will never hide how much I enjoy Roland Emmerich movies.
