I’m interested in seeing the Wrestler but almost more interested in seeing Ponyo on a Cliff by the Sea – it will be great to see another Miyazaki flick.

Having seen it too, I love The Wrestler. I just wonder how far it can ride this buzz. Is it the beginning of a larger awards sweep? I certainly hope so.

You know, I knew The Wrestler would win and I am so glad it did, it is one of the best films I have seen in years and I wish Rourke won too – he deserved it I think. But if what Salmaya is saying is true, that ‘splains it. Having not see the others that did win, I cannot say much more than that.

Like I said over at Nick's site, there is apparently a rule that they don’t give acting prizes to the film that wins the Golden Lion. Explains the Rourke ignoration.
