yes, you should be watching the killing. it\’s a slow burn and rather depressing. hasn\’t been much sunshine in the first five episodes. but the performances are great, especially Mireille Enos, it\’s beautifully shot, well written and keeps you guessing. what more do you want? this and Game of Thrones are just nailing it in TV land right now. tune in.

You\’re damn right about 2012. I\’m hoping someone sooner or later will delve into the possibilities that next year holds in film. From my research it looks like a golden year in both art house and blockbuster circles, packed to the brim with mouth-watering projects.

Yet, this far out things can always change as it looks likely that Elysium and The Wolverine have already been pushed back. But a year that may involve Malick, Anderson, Spielberg, Dominik, Mendes, Nolan, Lurhmann, Scott, Jackson, Refn, Tarantino, Gilroy and others mingling in the same sandbox has me a little bit chuffed.

The Killing has been quite absorbing, still finding it\’s footing at times but absolutely worth the time. Performances have been incredible across the board and Enos nails her role perfectly. Loved \’World War Z\’ (not my usual \”type\” of read) and this just adds to my anticpation for the film.

I\’m enjoying The Killing. Really good performances, complex plotting, well shot and atmospheric. It\’s really sad and dark and if you\’ve got kids I\’m sure it\’s even scarier. It sort of reminds me of The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo even though it\’s really nothing like it at all.

A season long investigation that starts with the murder of a high school beauty with a double life that delves into the seedy underbelly of a Pacific Northwest community.

\”The Killing\” might have wanted to something, anything to not remind people of \”Twin Peaks.\” From what I\’ve seen of \”The Killing,\” it\’s a surpriseless, rote slog with zilch for poetry.

And frankly, Mireille Enos is about as charismatic as her name.
