When an artist struggles, is scared of not being able to complete his work – it\’s a good sign. It means he gives a shit about the end result, and it may well be truly great. Out of his comfort zone Allen may well be able to do something brilliant again, like he used to when he was shitting his pants worrying about \’Manhattan\’ & \’Annie Hall\’ being the worst movies ever made.

There\’s a modesty deep down within Woody\’s art. It\’s within his greatness. We know it\’ll be great, regardless. His self-effacement merely fuels his genius. By deflecting it, Woody can concentrate on his literary flourish, which he will no doubt express in the web series. Woody Allen = the modern day Charlie Chaplin.
