You know what? I take full blame for getting carried away because I'm passionate, but Wolverine was excreable, seriously. Just fucking godawful and I honestly don't think much of anyone who liked it, sorry.

I also don't know how people can acknowledge that a film is totally shit and still enjoy it. Maybe perhaps on a laugh out old ironic-enjoyable level, sure as that film is a joke, but you don't seem to be taking it on that level.

To me, if you're a fan of like Wolverine and you're ok with it, (lighten up, it's all fun), you might as well go, "hey, this Leona Lewis album is pretty good!"

It's the same fucking thing. And while, yes, people should be able to enjoy mainstream radio pap -- just as they should be able to enjoy equivalent movie mainstream movie pap (like Wolverine), we too should be able to have our opinions about calling such tripe full-on trash.

It's just not for us and we're always going to say so. As always, we encourage those who want a softer opinion to read some of the many myriad softer fanboy blogs that treat this stuff with kidgloves.

I read the playlist all the time, and I've come to accept the way you review movies. Snarkiness is fine and even funny sometimes in small doses, and everybody loves a bit of pretension but sometimes you guys really get carried away. Unfortunately, in order to marginalize the opinions of people who might actually have some reason for enjoying a movie like this youve utilized the word "fanboy" over and over again, which as far as i can see means the person is familiar with the material at hand. I guess I am a fanboy, but I think I still might be sensible enough to know whether I enjoyed a movie or not. And I enjoyed the shit out of Wolverine.

The writing is godawful. The acting for the most part is godawful. Every single thing that happens is so cliche as to make the term cliche almost meaningless and my friends and i consistently laughed at lines that may not have been supposed to be funny (although I think that might not be giving the writers enough credit). How can you not enjoy the complete ridiculousness of Wolverine having to be killed by adamantium bullets? Or Deadpool's cyclops power being used after he is decapitated to tear up a building? Simply put, that shit is funny, and it looks cool too. Why can't there be room for pure enjoyment in a moviegoing experience? Wolverine is not well-conceived, well thought out, and at some points it completely ceases to make sense. But its fucking fun to watch and to laugh at for those of us who can evaluate things without thinking that the entire editing staff of pitchfork is verifying the taste and cool factor of every word we write. People who read comics have recognized that the writing and plot developments in those comics is often as campy and convoluted as this movie is. And I see no reason why that sort of thing can't be rightfully acknowledged to be perfectly enjoyable and completely harmless.

Lighten up guys.
