I wouldn't put Out of the Furnace's BO failures all on Bale. Its release was pretty lowkey and audiences seem weary of dark crime/dramas these days (think The Counselor, Killing Them Softly). I think Bale-Fincher-Sorkin-Jobs should at least do Social Network money. ($90+ million in US, $200 mill worldwide)
