This trailer doesn't look anything like the 40 that 30-something friends are turning in my world, not all folks bemoan experiencing their life without taking apart each year with someone else's "meaning" (e.g. an unhelpful filmmaker). And it doesn't like anything like the lives of my older friends and family either. Megan Fox has breast augmentation; I don't understand that scene? I know the JA movies primarily by the rampant billboarding and bus posters of NYC. Looks like a movie that will got a lot of Netflix third choice falling-asleep-to type of thing.

This is Forty just looks like the last third of Funny People which as you might recall ruined the whole movie. Apatow should go back to 40 Year Old territory. Sure it's immature and dumb (also agree with Katie's thoughts about sexism here) but at least it's more entertaining than these mild dramas he's doing now.

All Apatow DOES is go over old territory. That's why he was only really popular for 3-4 years there. His ideas a pretty good, but unfortunately he doesn't have many of them.

I truly wish Paul Rudd will grow-up and stop playing the same damn roles. It is tiresome. I want him to show some range. But, sadly, maybe that is all he can do.
