I can't imagine anyone liking those arty subtitled movies also liking Anchorman or Talladega Nights. The box office for those films was solely supported by male college students in fraternities.

Readers of The Playlist prefer humorous essays in The Atlantic (The New Yorker is too pedestrian) to the purile comedies of Adam McKay. We did enjoy his role in Woody Allen's Melinda and Melinda though, very dry, very dry.
