WHat\’s really amazing is how people think this is a PR piece for Marvel. What they\’re doing is successful, it doesn\’t actually mean it\’s good. The article clearly has issues with Herdthink in hollywood and creative bankruptcy, but brains are small with online readers I guess.

I don\’t understand why people come to these boards to just gripe. What a waste of time and energy. Find something constructive to do for Christ\’s sake.

Personally, I think this is a pretty good article. And I agree with many of its points. At some point, interest in superheroes will wane, and WB will be left out in the cold – as will everyone who copies their model thinking that\’s all you have to do, just copy their model – while Marvel successfully evolves.

I\’ll be glad when some of these writers stop posting these pseudo PR puff pieces for Marvel.Their films are average to decent at best.

If I understand this doom and gloom piece about shared universes (probably the 10th version I\’ve come across and the sky still hasn\’t fallen),people over 17 who will go to see the Star Wars films are overgrown man children, but dudes the same age bracket going to see the Marvel products are the hip, culturally refined sophisticated types? As if a majority of those guys didn\’t spend decades reading the comic books. I like most of the Marvel movies, but they\’re not all that. Man,I\’m getting tired of film articles that think snark is insight.
