I loved the movie! I went to see it twice, on Friday night then on Saturday night! IT WAS AMAZING!!!! You really think that Andrew is filming the whole thing from his point of view. Matt is great, I now have an obsession with Alex Russel… he looks like one of my best guy friends! You need to see, 5 stars!!!!!!!!!!!

Uhm, you might want to revise that to "the way Spielberg was way back in the days of Duel or The Sugarland Express", as Jaws was not exactly a low-budget movie. They almost got shut down because they went millions and millions of dollars over-budget. On Jaws Spielberg had to be innovative, not because of lack of money, but because he was shooting on the Atlantic ocean with a mechanical shark that never worked right.

Also, Chronicle does sound like a refreshing and original approach to a superhero story–but Captain America was an excellent traditional superhero story, and Thor was pretty good too–as The Avengers promises to be, as well. "Heroes trying to save the world" is just fine if it's done right….

Good said kinda fair. I'm gonna go check Chronicle out since have watched its trailer and the featurette. I'm interested in the projects like found footage genre, or low-budget-made awesome stuff such as mentioned names above. Not mention Josh Trank is a cool dude according to his films.

You're right… but then you'd have the scene with the ecstatic executives laughing over massive piles of money, from these movies becoming huge successes—which is fine, if the people who made and worked on the film got a fairer piece of that.
