Has Oyl ever read any of the books or read the great Mike Kaluta comics from the seventies, or is this just a glib, thrown off opinion about something because we bloggers just have to have opinions about everything? No one's arguing that the books were great literature or anything (well, at least anymore than Edgar Rice Burroughs or Robert E. Howards are) but without the Shadow there'd very likely be no Batman or other more recent dark avenger types.

Moreover, the character was good enough for Orson Welles, he might be good enough for QT. On the other hand, I kind of doubt he'll do it, though I'd love to see him try. Would be a great project for Raimi, however.
