With The Rum Diary and Fear and Loathing, we'd have a nice Gonzo Trilogy starring Depp as Thompson's alter ego.

As much as he'd probably make a good Batman villain, I'm not itching to see him in Christopher Nolan's next movie. . .I would like to see Depp in Wes Anderson's My Best Friend opposite Bill Murray.
