While, in theory I like the idea, I just don\’t see it making a great deal of sense paired with what we know of Obi-Wan from any of the prior films. If it could work, and as the other write-up posits, it would be cool to see a Skywalker training a Kenobi in becoming a Jedi.

Anyone can be born with an affinity to the force, regardless of who your parents are. And a child with force sensitive parents could be born without force sensitivity. Just because force powers are passed on genetically, doesn\’t mean that\’s the only way, and it doesn\’t mean having force sensitive parents is a 100% guarantee. But, you can\’t just magically become force sensitive because you want to. Not anyone can become a force wielder.

Maz said in the movie the saber was Anakins then lukes and now it\’s calling to Rey. The second trailer has luke talking to about the power of their family. Ben and Yoda channel through her when she has a flashback. She\’s naturally a gun of a pilot like luke and Anakin. She was raised on a sand planet like like Luke and Aniken. Maz says in the movie the answer lies forward with Luke Skywalker and not behind her. Leia seems more of an aunt when they part rather than a guilty mothers goodbye. They resistance sends only Rey to the island to confront Luke in the end, and she looks at him desperately for answers that is followed by a look of angry questions… I\’m sure there are a ton more reasons she is a Skywalker but that;s all I got for now. 😉

The movie makes it clear that Leia and Ren know Lor San Tekka and regard him as an important figure. On the other hand, what if Rey is Luke\’s Grand-daughter ? What if he had a son or daughter in the interim that was killed by Snoke?

My guess for episode 8 is that it will start w Rey\’s training w Luke and Kylos training w Snoke and the knights of Ren. I bet Del Toro is going to be one of these knights
