If they are sticking with the "Extremis" story, Chastain could be playing Maya Hansen. She is a scientist colleague of Guy Pearce's character and an ex-girlfriend of Stark's.

That would be awesome – get some great actors for the movie. The first movie was so good because there were great actors playing the parts. One of the reasons the second was not so well received was because some of the actors were chosen because of marketing reasons (Johannson) and eventually they brought very little in terms of quality!

Hopefully it's a just a one-time role. I'd hate to see a couple years down the road Jessica Chastain has to turn down working on an interesting film because she has to fulfill another job in an elaborate 6 film contract with Marvel.

Yes!!! I live in Wilmington, NC where they are going to film this so I hope she takes it! I might even go be an extra just to a glimpse of all the amazing actors.
