This is a a fine, funny yet touching film. When Buck puts the dozens of people to sleep in the lobby but the media misses it due to Jerry Springer's accident one could feel the influence of "The Gift of the Magi", if you know what I mean. Even better the 2nd time. A great little movie. Colin is excellent and Mr. Malkovich plays his character perfectly to my mind. All the subtle and not-so-subtle references add to the enjoyment.

Buck Howard actually does have distributor – Magnolia picked it up late May. And Tom Hanks had caught Sean McGinly’s previous film Two Days, which led Hanks lending a producing Buck Howard.

And Two Days is a staggeringly amazing, utterly unique and rather uncommercial film (also shows that Paul Rudd can act quite well) – very possibly something you would dislike.
