Wes was so intent on misrepresenting Japan, in fact, that he even brought in a Japanese writer to assist with getting the setting wrong! What a hack. We should just burn all of his movies and deport him.

lol I feel bad for you Charles, first you come for Woody, and now Wes? God save you from the fanboys.

Anyway, I haven’t watched this movie yet but Japan is one of those countries that get often exoticized by western filmmakers so this isn’t anything surprising. At least Wes worked with some Japanese people in this.
