LOVE those Robots!!!
Love Green Lantern, Thor, Captain America! Eagerly awaiting Avengers Movie; Transformers 4 & 5, Praying for a Thor II & III; Green Lantern II & III; and Captain America II & III.
Rubbing my hands together and drooling for DC Comics to catch up to Marvel! Where is Wonder Woman?? Hawkman? Hawkgirl?? Thanagar: Planet of War? Aquaman??? J\’on Jones; the Martian???
The Flash Trilogy???

Yes, in real life, we work very hard; us schlumps work 15 hr days, 6 days a week, some even longer. Life has become stressful. Our kids are stressed out at at 8.

So yes, when an action hero comes out of the comic books and onto the big screen; its a Welcome Vacation from Reality.
Its a step into a fantasy land; where the values you grew up learning and adhering to –Be Honest, step up to your actions, think before you Act; And to see the finer points man kind…not the greed on Wall St; the greed, callous nature of politicians or the real world failures of man…….
I\’ll take that Mental Vacation every time, every opportunity with my kids to see a super hero, Alien group of Robots Transform from our cars, cellphones into heroes that conquer the greedy and evil.
More please!!!!!!!!

I just heard a bit of Captain America\’s score. I am officially PUMPED! Wooo! Bring it on! I went from mild interest in this movie, to now feverish anticipation. This needs to open right now!

Thor didn\’t underperform same for Super 8

While TF3 isn\’t making as much, word of mouth will make it big, and overseas will make it the biggest yet. Plus it\’s playing in less theaters here than the second one was.

I don\’t quite get this. I know 160 mil over 5 days is a good chunk of change and in no way represents a failure, but when Transformers 2 does 200 mil over its 5 day opening, are diminishing returns something to celebrate? SO far hasn\’t every tentpole film this summer underperformed? Thor, X-Men, Green Lantern…can the market place finally be oversaturated, or have people just lost interest?

Critics may not understand the brilliance of those awesome, awesome robots, but what I can\’t understand is: if all these people that go to see movies like Transformers \”obviously\” don\’t take these movies that seriously, then why do they wait in ridiculous lines and stampede over each other to cram into uncomfortably packed theaters every time one of these crapfestst opens? Just keep slapping those flippers together until Hollywood throws you another stinky fish.

I would love if if these movies were about robots, but they\’re not. Instead we get 100 minutes of Ken Jeong and his \’Deep Wang\’ or Alan Tudyk as the most offensive gay stereotype since Hollywood in Mannequin or random black soldier making googly eyes and saying \”I didn\’t sign up for this!\” or Shia LaBeouf\’s fascinating job search.

The robots are 20% of these movies.

critics just don\’t understand that the transformers concept is what is so wonderful. That\’s why people buy the toys and watch the movies. We want to see the robots that turn into awesome stuff. It\’s cool. We dont\’ take the movies all that seriously, obviously.
