As for Snow White and the Huntsman I suspect that Uni are trying to spin this as more positive than it actually is to deflect from the failure of Battleship otherwise it's nonsense to talk about a sequel for a movie that looks like a potential $135-140million final tally on a $170million+ budget and is not exactly setting the box office alight overseas. Domestic word of mouth is weak as evidenced by the sharp second week drop. Given the fact that they offered it on a platter to the Twilight crowd and the amount of advertising it should be doing better. Actually this whole situation reminds me a bit of Tron Legacy which also had a $170million budget and was considered a disappointment but Snow White and Huntsman isn't even going to make anywhere near TL's numbers. I'll be very interested to see if the sequel actually materialises.
