I’m not big on those exact kind of comedies either, but having read the script and based on that clip that captures the tone well, i think it’ll be enjoyable enough. No masterpiece of course, but what comedies are these days?

It seems kinda funny and I’m a Jack Black fan, but I usually don’t like broad conceptual comedies much like this one. The costumes, the characters…as George Harrison once sang, “it’s all too much.”
