I am also French, and I have been watching the Oscars and the Cesar live for years ('Cesar' can't be plural, it's the name of the guy who designed the thing).
Our Ceremony is a pain compared to yours, but I have to say this piece is the one of the only fun thing in a desert of awfulness. Ask Kevin Costner who was there to get an honorary Cesar. He did not laugh once, and was suspected to fall asleep during Emmanuelle Riva's speech. Trust me, you don't want to watch it next year!
