I totally agree. This doesn't look worthy of Moore's talent (and unfortunately, she's been wasting her talent in some weird comedies several times). I wish she'd be getting more of the Cate Blanchett roles — frankly, Moore should be on "The Monuments Men" set right now with Clooney.

But still, this will be a busy year for Moore, with six movies coming out — this, "What Maisie Knew" (which looks good and got great reviews), "Don Jon" (acclaimed performance), "Carrie", "The Seventh Son", "Non-Stop". Most of them sound / look better than "The English Teacher". But I wish Moore would be in a period piece again, and work with Paul Thomas Anderson or Todd Haynes again.

Looks cute! I agree with Sparky. Moore probably picked it because it's a comedy and wants to have fun. She must be tired of heavy dramas. It reminds me of Naomi Watts who has stated numerous times that she really wants to do comedies but no-one ever offers her parts in them because she is seen as a "dramatic" actress.

Yeah, it doesn't look dreadful but neither does it inspire excitment. Looks firmly in the "pleasent diversion, mildly forgetable" category.
Also, when Julianne Moore is 75 she'll still be hot as hell. Love that woman.
