The blue letters in the sunset makes it similar also with a man shooting. The similarity ends there. There is no blast and the blue ruin poster is in puzzled fashion.

that was an awful trailer, not only was it a bunch of non sequitur like moments thrown together, but it also managed to seemingly spoil a major moment whilst giving absolutely no idea what the movie is actually about. Hopefully the movie is better than that trailer, an endorsement from Cuaron goes a long way with me, one from Cameron, not so much.

Adding onto what Traie said, that poster is an almost direct ripoff of the Blue Ruin poster. It\’s actually kind of shocking, they barely even attempted to hide the similarities.
