My local art house theater just screened The Final Cut two weeks ago, so it can\’t be completely impossible to get the rights.

Brilliant story-telling. Still looks gorgeous — in fact so much better than the CGI superhero movies our multiplex screens are now awash with. Can\’t wait to see what Denis does with the sequel!

the rights owners to this property in the states (The Blade Runner Partnership) won\’t let anyone show it in the US. i know. i\’m a curator and i\’ve tried. many times. I spoke with Charles de Lauzirika who has tried and failed as well. they haven\’t seemed interested in the film being seen by new audiences on a big screen – hopefully they change their tune. lucky english bastards.
