While it sounds decent on paper what with the cast and all, Bradley Cooper, Zoe Saldana and Olivia Wilde, we can't say we're entirely convinced of this new trailer for "The Words." It probably doesn't help that we didn't give this one a particularly enthusiastic review when we saw it at Sundance earlier this year. It's been called both a drama and a thriller and it's about a writer at the peak of his literary success discovers the steep price he must pay for stealing another man's work. The official synopsis is here, which we didn't plagiarize and instead simply copied and pasted from a press release (same thing?).
The layered romantic drama 'The Words' follows young writer Rory Jansen who finally achieves long sought after literary success after publishing the next great American novel. There's only one catch – he didn't write it. As the past comes back to haunt him and his literary star continues to rise, Jansen is forced to confront the steep price that must be paid for stealing another man's work, and for placing ambition and success above life's most fundamental three words.
Co-starring Dennis Quaid, Jeremy Irons, J.K. Simmons and Ben Barnes CBS Films releases "The Words" on September 21.Maybe you'll feel different about it.
