Two of Ball's biggest and most tragic mistakes that jump to mind, aside from poor writing, plot holes, and overrunning the story with insipid filler characters? Refusing to stick to the source material where it counted and burying his head in the sand regarding Skarsgard's talent and popularity. Eric Northman (Alexander) is the only thing left worth watching on that circus of a show.
