That \”funny little speech\” is a paraphrase from one of the original Conan stories by Robert E. Howard, and frankly, I don\’t see what makes \”crush your enemies\” so astronomically superior, beyond simple nostalgia.

I\’m not defending the horrible teaser, or even the film as a whole, but that one line is truer to Conan than the Genghis Khan swipe ever was.

It is meant to simply get us excited/talking about the film. It is a successful teaser, whether or not you are going to see this film.

As a side note, to those who are complaining about this being another \’annoying re-make\’, everyone should understand that is NOT a remake, it\’s a re-adaptation. From what I\’ve read, this film will be more accurate to Robert E. Howard\’s original stories.

I for one, cannot wait to see this film.

Though I\’m a straight male I think it\’s cool that the female form isn\’t the only one objectified on screen. So what if the plot of this movie is that this guy has abs? I\’m ok with that, and I hope women and gay men (in addition to the fanboys this is targeted towards) continue supporting this genre.

I\’m not going to see it myself, per se, but I can still appreciate its existence.
