The landscapes pretend to be from northern Finland but the film was shot in Germany, so to begin with, I can\’t view it as plausible by any means. Second, the trailer is edited like it was marketing a Tarantino film, and the supposed villain looks awfully much like Hans Gruber from Die Hard, which is embarrassing. Third, Finland is not a country of great cinema (ever heard of Aki Kaurismäki? The only Finnish filmmaker you should know, if you\’re into that sorta stuff.) How do I prove this? Well, the Jussi-award (they\’re like the Finnish Oscars, y\’know) for Best Picture went to a film that got only 3059 viewers at the movie theaters last year. Yes, that\’s how bad things are in here.
