DePalma has never been known for understatement, particularly when it comes to sex or visuals. For him, more =more, and there is NEVER enough more.

Based on the trailer, the film would appear to lack a the sophisticated execution necessary to keep this from falling into camp territory.

Again, female bisexuality… why do every thrillers featuring women in lead roles have to include female bisexuality ? Basic Instinct, Black Swan, now this… Memo to Hollywood : this is 2012, patriarchy is over, now men can also experiment sexually and not be constrained to being straight or gay. So put some male bisexuality in there because frankly the ration of female/male bisexuality in films is ridiculous.

I'm intrigued. I saw Love Crime at TIFF 2010 and had very mixed thoughts. It had a lot of potential, so this is one remake I'm interested to see. I don't know how I feel about the casting of Rachel McAdams (Kristin Scott Thomas was great in the original), but Noomi Rapace seems like a good fit. Will be adding this to my TIFF12 schedule!

Never in my life has a 1 minute trailer upset me so…..only because I want more! But leave it to DePalma to not reveal shit till you see it….so I'll be there whenever they unleash this film to the world (outside of film festivals)…..

Have to agree I don't see what looks "gaudy" or cinemaxy about this. It was shot by Jose Luis Alcaine, who's worked with Almodovar for years and Victor Erice.

McAdams looks very intence and finally is doing great dramatic work and I think she will upstage Naomi only because this girl really brings down a films quality for me.
