Between celebrity turns on "The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon" and "Lip Sync Battle," America is having a moment with knowing the words to songs, but only pretending to sing them. But perhaps the pendulum will swing back the other way with this summer’s "Pitch Perfect 2," when Beca and the gang get back together to put a new twist on some old favorites.
In this new clip from the film via MTV, Montell Jordan‘s "This Is How We Do It" and A Tribe Called Quest‘s "Scenario" get a workout, while David Cross (who I keep forgetting is in this movie) moderates the showdown. And there’s even more good news for fans of the series.
Amy Kaufman of the Los Angeles Times reports via Twitter that Rebel Wilson has confirmed she’s signed on for "Pitch Perfect 3." There’s no word yet on Anna Kendrick, but we presume that’s just a formality and negotiation of salary at this point.
"Pitch Perfect 2" opens on May 15th.
