i don't mean to shortchange anyone's struggle, but the hidden perils of privilege almost always stem from being sheltered by a wall of prescription drugs and trust funds. They're almost always the same thing in these films – a failure to live up to what the previous generation expects of you while you numb yourself with high quality drugs and alcohol and bang and suck until you hit abortion number three. Here's a fun struggle that would be more interesting to see on film – today I had such a powerful headache that i had to steal a bottle of ibuprofen from the local drug store because every dime that i've made this month has went toward rent, student loans, and utilities. I was privileged to not get caught, but yeah, this movie looks super rad and speaks to my generation.
