This film is arguably Takahata\’s masterpiece, and one of the 3 or 4 best movies that Studio Ghibli ever released! It\’s only been available on imported Spanish DVD or torrents up til now, so I\’m overjoyed that more people will finally get to see it. (Stupid Disney never released apparently because it includes some discussion of menstruation, but it is appropriate for most older children, so don\’t miss it!)
