Got a Tip?

Watch: New Trailers For ‘Cave Of Forgotten Dreams’ & ‘Essential Killing’ Land

Even though we’re now in March — the new tentpole month — there are still things happening at your local arthouse, so just remember that you do have options before plunking down $12 for “Battle: Los Angeles.” A couple of trailers have arrived for some films that will certainly be much healthier alternatives in the weeks to come, so let’s get right to it.

A trailer has arrived (snagged by RopeOfSilicon) for Werner Herzog‘s 3D documentary “Cave of Forgotten Dreams” and unfortunately, the prospect of the film doesn’t end up being as cool as it sounds. We saw the film at TIFF and while it’s certainly very beautiful, it’s not quite as dreamy or memorable as we would have hoped. Still, hanging out with Herzog in a cave for a movie is probably better than rolling with Ne-Yo and some aliens. Sundance Selects will release the film later this year.

Meanwhile, Jerzy Skolimowski‘s “Essential Killing” gets a fresh international trailer and all you need to know about this film is that Vincent Gallo plays a Taliban fighter on the run. Enough said. Tribeca Films recently picked up the film and will be releasing it on VOD later this year, but if you’re in Canada or the U.K., it will get a theatrical bow starting on April 1st. Trailers for both films below.
