I laff at those saying Amy is the best thing about the trailer. Jlaw even impressed me more in her one scene than Amy. That's the bitter truth. Awesome trailer though and a good cast.

It has a great cast going for it (though Jennifer Lawrence is clearly at once a great actress and far too young to play her character), yet the inability to pin down a coherent plot or tone in the marketing is making me skeptical.

David O. Russell is a genius. You cannot pigeonhole him into one neat genre. And not playing the film festival circuit (especially the crammed Toronto lineup this year) just intensifies the mystery and anticipation of seeing it in December.

Amy Adams does shine! I also agree with the Jennifer being too young for the role. I could pick at least 5 other actresses who would have been more appropriate for the role. I think it will be a great film for Bale and Adams, but overall it won't be a huge awards winner for O'Russell. . .

Brilliant trailer!. I'm absolutely loving Jennifer Lawrence as the disgruntled mother…she is amazing. Btw, the role was written for Lawrence…as a trophy wife, early 30's and she's nailing it.
