The movie takes place in Limburg for the most part, the Flemish part of Belgium so it's mostly spoken in a quite difficult Dutch dialect, there is however some Frecnh dialogue though since there's some contact with Wallons (French speaking Belgians). But since the director and the main character (played by the brilliant Matthias Schoenaerts) are both Flemish it's not even close to being Francophone!
