Its always a sign of trouble when a talented and established filmmaker with a voice of his own resorts to mimicking one of his contemporaries.

Perhaps what PTA needs most is a vacation because it would appear that he didn\’t have the energy to look farther than Netflix for his inspiration.

The cinematography looks exactly like Zsigmond\’s work in The Long Goodbye. It\’s almost creepy how much this looks like a 70\’s film.

I love the filmography of everyone involved but hafta say that was a bit of a bummer. I was expecting the tone to be a little more Serpico than Pink Panther. That\’s a shame and a lost opportunity. It should still be good just not what I was hoping for. Maybe the actual film will downplay the humour and be more psychedelic.
