We’ll watch any film with Ewan McGregor or Alicia Vikander, so good news for us, both star in the upcoming Aussie thriller "Son Of A Gun." After premiering and opening overseas, the movie is getting on a plane and coming to the United States, and the first trailer is here.
Co-starring Brenton Thwaites, the storyline for this one is pretty simple: a young thug helps a criminal veteran bust out of the jail and the pair them team up on a heist that could make them all very rich. But mix in a femme fatale, mistrust, and the tiny detail of breaking the law, and it’s not quite as easy as you might think. While it sounds like the kind of effort that promises solid B-movie thrills, the result is a film that’s "forgotten almost as soon as the credits roll," and that’s a shame given the faces in front of the camera.
