As a non die-hard fan of Star Wars, and having just seen both trilogies about two years ago, I would argue Revenge of the Sith is clearly a better film than, for example, the abysmal Return of the Jedi. And this is not a question of one of the films being more outdated than the other, but you could even put the actors next to each other and seriously argue that Revenge has the better cast.
