Watch: Grab A Drink With 2 Clips From Michel Gondry’s ‘Mood Indigo’

nullWhile it seems this movie has been kicking around for a while now, Michel Gondry‘s "Mood Indigo" has yet to open in U.S. theaters. After premiering and hitting some festivals last year, Gondry actually went back to the editing room and snipped 36 minutes from the movie for its international dates. So yes, the version you’ll be seeing will be significantly shorter, but Gondry himself approved of the cuts, and no matter what, it’s still his vision all the way.

To get you prepared for the film, two new clips have dropped online for this unique movie (one via Empire). Starring Romain Duris and Audrey Tautou, and based on the beloved novel by Boris Vian, the story follows the romance between Colin and Chloé that becomes complicated when the latter falls ill when a flower starts growing in her lungs. So yes, it’s a bit fantastical, a bit romantic and a bit melancholy, but all Gondry.

"Mood Indigo" opens on July 18th. Watch below.
