Let\’s be honest here, no one would be talking about this if it didn\’t star Del Rey. This could star any faceless model and douchebag male, and no one would give a damn. For all of the talk about how "brutal" and "savage" it is, it\’s no worse than anything featured in any number of modern horror films – and let\’s not be idiots here, this is taken out of context. It\’s a short segment of small piece of film and not that rape really needs a context, but let\’s face it – you can pull a handful of scenes from 12 Years a Slave and put a metal soundtrack behind it and make something just as awful and ugly as this – because it\’s not in the proper context. But whatever, it\’s worthy clickbait so to hell with any reason.

When you doubt yourself always say "Eli Roth, Eli Roth, Eli Roth…" He\’s the only hack on parole from the Crimes Against Movies prison. He has the visual acuity of a nitwit who somehow found a way to make Tarantino bless him. Isn\’t strange how some great directors like QT shepherd clowns like this? Scorsese, too, has exec produced some real stinkers.

As director of photography, I have to say, this video is poorly edited, Some scenes absolutely dont match the mood of the video. This is probably a fanmade bag of shit. Needless to say that some scenes were taken from Slo-mo-tion and No Reflection video clips.

It would be interesting to learn if there is a broader statement wrapped around this clip on which to make a sound judgement regarding the depicted assault. As it is, it appears gratuitous but Manson is far smarter and more intellectual than that so I suspect there is abundant context missing. From a cinematic perspective, there are some truly terrific visuals in here and an impressive atmosphere created, something I would not necessarily expect from Roth who has been a rather ham-fisted director at times.
