Reading here that people aren't digging the music. It is a bit ham sandwich, but I think it goes a long way to sell "grand, epic, spectacle," which seems to be what they're aiming for (see: "the ultimate ensemble"). Maybe the reason there's no huge action sequences glimpsed here is because they're saving them for the trailer? People are all like: "WHY DO YOU SHOW EVERYTHING IN THE TRAILER?!" Then when a trailer shows nothing they're all like: "THIS LOOKS BORING I PASS."

Way too self-serious. I get that the movie wants to have the highest stakes yet but going full on "Nolan" isn't the right way to sell X-men. Judging from the comments on here, others seem to agree. I'm sure the movie will be good but I'm hoping they can preserve some of First Class' tone.
