Unfortunately, this does not look good. And the problem with that is not that there is one more bad movie to avoid, but that there will be one more original "blockbuster" bombing at the box office.

Thank god "Gravity" was a hit. Otherwise, studios would be locking us in big budget sequel hell for the foreseeable future.

It would appear that dreams of a renaissance of bold, big budget and original Hollywood product may well be riding entirely on the shoulders of Christopher Nolan and "Interstellar."

God help us if that trailer is as bad as this one.

You're all a bunch of haters. I'm not even what you would consider a Wachowski fan but I'm certainly happy there's an original sci-fi summer film out there that isn't another shitty superhero property. We'll see next summer.

Jeez what's with people and flinging shit at the Wachowskis, no wonder cinema is on it's last legs when those who are at least trying to do something within it's narrow parameters are constantly subjected to mindless crap. Yeah it's CGI (what isn't?), yeah it's action but at least it's not the same, weirdo patriotic superhero movie.

Everyone is ripping this trailer, and the Wachowskis, but who else is doing original property sci-fi? I'll take a glorious flop of an original story (even if the plot mechanics are familiar) over a rehash of a tired property any day.
